Understanding RCI Timeshare Exchange
RCI is one of the largest timeshare exchange networks in the world, connecting owners at affiliated resorts so they can trade their usage for stays at other participating properties. RCI does not own resorts itself—it operates the exchange system that links independently owned and managed properties. Because resorts join and leave the network over time, and available inventory shifts based on demand and season, the list of participating resorts and the exchange options offered can change at any time. Always check RCI’s official resources for the most current information before making any vacation plans.
Timeshares in the RCI Exchange Network
The best way to confirm whether a specific resort is part of the RCI network is to search the official RCI Resort Directory. There you can browse destinations and accommodation types, and check current availability, exchange fees, membership requirements, and booking rules before making any travel plans. Because affiliations and inventory change over time, the directory is the only reliable source for up-to-date information.
Below are examples of the types of vacation-club affiliations and resort destinations that may be associated with RCI. This is a representative list only—it is not exhaustive, not guaranteed to be current, and should not be relied upon as confirmation of any specific resort’s participation.
- Beach and coastal resort communities
- Mountain and ski destination properties
- Major vacation-club branded resorts
- International resort destinations across multiple countries
- City and urban-area timeshare properties
Always verify any specific property directly in the current RCI directory before assuming it participates in the exchange network.
